Eighties stars Fly to the stage with Gary Barlow

Gary Barlow has confirmed he’s bringing the stars of the Eddie The Eagle movie soundtrack ‘Fly’  together for one night only at One Mayfair in London on Friday 18 March 2016 as he had so much fun with the project he “didn’t want it to end”.

Go West, Spandau Ballet’s Tony Hadley, Paul Young, Nik KershawHoward Jones and Holly Johnson of Frankie Goes To Hollywood are among those on the bill, with Barlow hoping to persuade the stars of the movie, Hugh Jackman and Taron Egerton to join the line up and perform their track ‘Thrill Me’ which features in the movie’s closing credits.

“For me, this has been amazing fun. To be able to collaborate, and talk, and hang out and make music with lovely, lovely people. They’ve been through it all and are so relaxed and laid back — I’m hoping one day I’ll be there!”

He said: “It’s been like going back to before I had a record deal. We had the old tape recorders out, used sequencers and really rewound time in our studios. Nowadays, the fun has almost gone out of the music because it’s such a rush — the album’s got to be ready, it’s got to go to press, and iTunes want an extra [track]… and it’s all pressure, pressure, pressure. For me, this has been amazing fun. To be able to collaborate, and talk, and hang out and make music with lovely, lovely people. They’ve been through it all and are so relaxed and laid back — I’m hoping one day I’ll be there!”

“These tickets will be like gold dust. To get them all on one bill is the icing on the cake for me.”

There is only one way to be in with a chance to get tickets and that’s simply by registering here* by 11.00pm on 13 March 2016.

Each winner will receive FOUR tickets to this unique show. Good luck!

The album, Fly (Songs Inspired By The Film Eddie The Eagle), is due for release on 18 March and features a track sung by the movie’s stars Hugh Jackman and Taron Egerton.
