Hi ldncssd
I was quite surprised how quickly he read the email out as I only sent it 5 minutes prior. It was good to hear the interviews as they were all recorded recently as opposed to broadcasting old interviews. Listening to Harvey Goldsmith was interesting.

Yes, indeed!!
It was a great radio show to listen. I'm looking forward to listen the second part tomorrow, via internet (I live in Lisbon).
Live Aid is, without a doubt, my favourite concert of all time: the artists, the venue, the concept, the idea behind it, the unity of an entire planet trying to help those who were fighting for their lives in one particular continent, the technologic challenge, well... eveything.
It would be so great if the whole show could be released on DVD...

Yes, you're right, but they cut many performances out, including Nik's performance. Only Wouldn't it be Good is on the DVD. The Riddle, Wide Boy and Don Quixote were left out

Bummer. Glad I didn't shell out for it then. Tis always the way. The acts you really really want to see are cut out and the others you aren't so bothered about are left in their entirety.
Mind you, in this day and age, and with blue ray coming, there must be a way of putting out the whole thing unedited.
Enjoyed the Tom Morton interview. Thanks for that.

Wow, 25 years, huh? I remember sitting up all night watching Live Aid with my trusty remote recording everyone I loved, including Nik - and I still have it! Also glad I didn't bother buying the DVD since they seem to be selective about who to put on it. The only other performance I really love to watch is Queen, and I have that anyway! Gives me chills everytime!!!
cheers

Yes, I do remember LIVE AID, I was 15 years old and I watched it on TV at home in Italy, I was waiting for Nik, Howard Jones,Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet as well.
It was a great event but it's sad that after 25 years people in Africa are still starving!
